Most of us have to go to work at some point of our lives. I am going to give you some Spanish phrases that might be helpful to you at your workplace. I would like to begin with some common words first, then I will dig into some helpful phrases.

Employer = Empleador
Employee = Empleado(a)
Co-worker = Compañero(a) de trabajo
Human Resources = Recursos humanos
Manager = Gerente
Boss = Jefe
Clock-In = Marcar tarjeta de entrada
Clock-out = Marcar tarjeta de salida

• What department do you work in? = En qué departamento trabajas?
• What time do you leave today? = A qué hora sales hóy?
• I need to talk to the department manager = Tengo que hablar con el gerente del departamento
• I need to talk to Human Resources = Necesito hablar con Recursos Humanos
• How many people work in your unit? Cuántas personas trabajan en tú unidad?
• What’s your manager’s name? = Cómo se llama tú gerente?
• Who’s the president of the company? = Quién es el president de la compañía?
• I need to turn in that report by noon = Necesito entregar ése reporte para el mediodía
• Would you please mail this? = Podrías envia ésto por correo, por favor?
• I need to print this document = Necesito imprimir éste documento
• I need to sign this document = Necesito firmar éste documento
